Before I started at one • fıve, I had a postdoctoral position at the University in Tuebingen. My research focuses on biopolymer production in cyanobacteria and we could discover a way to produce large amounts of a biopolymer, called cyanophycin, in a sustainable way using cyanobacteria.

With this technique we had the possibility to do some pioneer research on this material. We came up with a method to chemically modify this polymer which allowed us to apply new material properties and to extend its possible applications. This method is currently under revision for a patent.
